My love of yoga combined with my personal understanding of the essential nature and harmony of the chakras led to my design of this jewelry line.

I have continued to develop more yoga-inspired jewelry that is made with meaning and intention. While these pieces of jewelry are handmade they do not possess healing powers, they are a simple reminder of balance. They are my personal interpretation of chakras.

Yoga practice teaches that aligning the chakra energy centers promotes and enhances energy flow along the main meridian channels of the body. Chakras resonate with and tune the body's natural balancing properties. When your body is in harmony, muscles relax, blood flow increases and relaxation replaces tension. This brings an overall sense of well-being that opens the door to a new awareness.

The body has seven major chakras, starting at the base of the spinal cord and traveling to the top of the head. Each chakra center represents an emotion or psychological state, such as power, love, or creativity, and each is linked to a specific color. Each color, starting at the bottom – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet – has a power. These colors also correspond to the rainbow.
